Afternoon all! Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day yesterday. Whether you spoiled your mother or was being spoilt! I didn't really do much as i had to work! It was my first sunday shift at my new work place. It was a little horrible dragging myself in on a Sunday as i'm so used to lazing around that day, but the fact i get time and a half pay motivated me a little. Eveything is good so far there, but i'm still having a little trouble trying to get some security tags off things. I feel bad cos i keep having to ask the other staff for assistance, and once they do it, it like sooo easy for them. Probably cos i'm weak and stupid haha! I've been soooo bad with my whole "keeping fit and healthy" target. I ate 4 doughnuts after i finished work the other day, and had a diet of hot cross buns, pizza, tortilla chips and malteasers. Although i did try and redeem myself by grabbing a Innocent Thai Curry Pot for dinner. Ahh so good. The small pot surprisingly filled me up quite well. I feel even more guilty when my friends are keeping fit. One of my friends has taken up running and now she runs distances i could never imagine myself to attempt. I need to go to the gym or something! I'm thinking of doing some Zumba classes as i've heard they're pretty good and most of all, fun! My package from Sleek came in the post the other day. It was really quick actually. I was annoyed because they usually send dispatch emails but i didn't receive mine till a few days after my order. The morning i got the dispatch email, the package was delivered in the afternoon. I think maybe they're a little slow with those emails then! It took me a while before i used them. I have this thing where i like everything in prestine condition so i always find it hard to break into new make-up and such. But it's a different story with new clothes, i wear them the instant i get a chance to.   I love the packaging. Simple but professional. I hate it when brands jazz it up to much and it starts to look cheap and tacky. When i opened the blushes, i was surprised by how bright they were. The colours are beautiful though, i think you just have to be careful not to pile it on because it's quite pigmented. The tinted lip conditioners also smell so yummy! I didn't even expect a smell but it has this luscious cocoa butter scent. I literally just open it to inhale it through my nose. Sounds wrong! I read about hair velcro, which is apparently quite popular in Asia. I bought a pack off Ebay out of curiousity. It's a little flimsy but it does seem to work. Although it was sticking to my hair too well one morning and i had to drag it out. But for 99p, I'm happy. I might customise it when i have the time! Ello ello! how be you all? I'm knackered out today. I ended up staying an extra 3 hours at work because they were short. Meant that i was without food, water or a break for 5 hours! I got home and raided all the cupboards like a monster for anything edible. Ahh just one more day tomorrow and I'm off for a long weekend, yus! My friends are coming down from their unis. So excited cos i've missed them muchly and am in need for a good ole catchup! And I'm so glad that people liked the previous post! I'm waiting for my bananas to ripen so i can bake it again mwahaha. I've been watching sooo much Glee. It's crazy. I always tend to do this! I get too impatient to watch it on telly, so i go and watch it online. I know, tut tut. I went to my local Lush shop the other day and bought some goodies. I had a 10% off voucher as well so i saved a little some some. I believe you can get these vouchers in the their gift packs. I'm not totally certain on it, I just guessed because i got one in mine! I love the smell of everything! Even the voucher had a scent, so it lushed up the insides of my purse as well. Okay so heres what i purchased...        I can't wait to use these! I've loved every Lush product that I've tried. They have such a variety, with a constant flow of new and seasonal items, it's hard to keep up! I think so far, their bubble bars and body butters are my favs. When I'm not using them, I like to pop them into one of my drawers/ in my wardrobe to make my clothes smell ever so lovely. I love pulling out my clothes and the scent linger on them for the rest of the day. Make sure they're sealed in the packet properly though! Otherwise you might get some greasy stains and/or powdery crumbs. Also, I was advised that when you have little bits of a body butter left (which can't be used), you can drop them in the next time you take a bath, making the water ultra moisturising. Hellohello! Ah can't believe the weekend is nearly over. Nooo. It was chinese/lunar new year Thursday, I hope that anyone that celebrated it had an amazing time and got to eat lots of delicious fooooods. My family don't celebrate it as big as others, due to everyone living in different cities across the UK, so it's hard to get together a lot of the time. Surprisingly, i did manage to get a few red pockets from some family members. I thought i was a bit old to get them now but hey, not complaining :P. I needed a much needed retail therepy sesh, so i went to my local shopping district to have a look see. I didn't buy too much. And all these were dead cheap.Think i've gotten a little more fussy with shopping now! I used to have a terrible habit of buying something just for the sake of it being on sale or something. I also bought some clothing items, but i was hoping i might do little outfit posts in the future (if i ever manage to get a good lighting spot in my house, and a plainish backdrop :S)
I also tried out this recipe last night with the boy. It's so easy and it tasted lush! The recipe only consists of 4 ingredients. You can edit it easily to your own taste. For example, i added a little drizzle of golden syrup, with a sprinkling of nutmeg and cinnamon, along with some slices of peach. Nomnom.
